The fast version: A scavenger hunt!

The long version:

Hidden throughout all of the MLAT comics (File 49, The Front, The Replacements, Silver and The Periodic Forces, Graduation Day, Origin of Jared) are some items. You, the reader, will find them. Here's what to look for:

• Macbeth Poster
• Pizza Box
• Man Wearing Socks and Sandals
• Lady with a Florida Jumper
• Obstacle Course
• Metal Detector
• HooveR

We've even created a handy printable PDF file you can use to keep track of in which comics and on what pages you found the items.

Once you've completed your search, email the list to us (info-AT-mlatcomics-DOT-com), to be entered for the grand prize drawing!

Oh, yes, there are prizes.

Grand Prize:
A full-color 8.5” x 11” commission
by Jerzy and Sara! They’ll draw
whatever you want!
(some restrictions apply, naturally!)

First Prize:
Two pencil sketch commissions, one
by Jerzy and one by Sara!

Second Prize:
Original art from Sara’s Graduation Day
and Jerzy’s Origin of Jared!

All entries must be received by January 12, 2007. On the 13th Sara and I will randomly draw from the correct entries to select the prize winners.

I should also note that all of the Scavenger Hunt items appear only on comics pages that are not locked behind the subscription wall. There's no need to purchase a subscription to The Replacements in order to play.

So get reading, and have fun!

And while you're reading...

We've recently started planting some easter eggs on the site. While you're revisiting the comics to look for the Scavenger Hunt items, you could also do a bit of poking around to see if you can find some new surprises.
